About Me

I'm an educator and computer engineer currently based in Canada, who enjoys teaching and building projects that live on the internet. I tinker arduinos and the raspberry pi when I have the time to spare. I love the feeling of floating on water and feeling almost weightless... j'adore la natation.
I graduated with a Bsc in Computer Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, I joined the IT team at Tema Oil Refinery where I worked on a variety of interesting and meaningful projects on a daily basis. Shortly after, I engaged a life-long passion of teaching at SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College.
I'm currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Education, Leadership in Learning - Global Perspective focus at the University of Prince Edward Island in Canada.

Where I've Worked
Head of IT Department @ SOS-HGIC
March 2020 - March 2022
As principal responsibilities,:
- led in the department’s subject areas: Computer Science, Information Technology in a Global Society and Design,
- Planned, implemented and reviewed the curriculum within the framework of the IB Diploma Programme, and the IB Middle Years Programme
- Oversaw planning, teaching and learning within the department.
- Participated in the formulation and implementation of the school's policies.
In addition to these,:
- Managed, mentored and coached students in the programming, robotics and electronics club to learn and apply concepts in science, technology, engineering, and math to solve problems.
- Oversaw rigorous practice sessions to enhance students' skills in problem-solving and
- Coached students in local and international STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) competitions.

- Prepared and delivered lessons, graded students' work and offered feedback.
- Managed classroom materials, navigated the curriculum, and collaborated with other staff.
- Supported students by identifying and addressing specific concerns.

Software Engineer Intern @ Tema Oil Refinery
September 2017 - July 2018
- Served in the IT Department as a Service Personnel and a Technical Support Engineer.
- Developed a Computer Resource Management System for the Refinery that is currently in use to keep track of IT resources in the refinery
- Disassembled computer systems to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues.
- Responded to assistance requests from both administration and engineering staff and directed them through basic troubleshooting tasks.
- Configured new employee work stations, including all hardware, software and peripheral devices.

June 2016 - August 2018
- As a Web Agency, we consulted and rendered services ranging from Website design, Digital Marketing, Hosting, SEO, Web application development, among others.
